Ending Intentional and Illegal Discharges of Wastes from Ships.
For years many persons all around the world at official and non-official levels have been trying to curb ship source pollution. Oil pollution from ships has been one focal point. Despite all the efforts, international and domestic regulations, safety and environmental management systems, flag/port state, classification society, and company oversight - intentional discharges occur frequently. Examples
“The failure of these existing sytems and protocols to prevent intentional discharges, and the need to preserve the “life foundations” of which the oceans provide are just two of many justifiable reasons for the need to take agressive action. The need to report pollution.“
The purpose of this site is to provide a focal point for reporting related information. Technical advice is given on the data page to assist the reporting party in identifying critical information.
